All the tests you mentioned are purposefully not performed at the moment. To my knowledge, I'm not aware that the patients with thyrotoxicosis can survive for at least 20 years without treatment. I agree with you that TFT must be ordered in every patient with AF of new onset (20 years ago when she made the first visit to KCMH). And regarding cardiac catheterization, as I already mentioned, I wonder what kind of left heart disease can manifest as isolated right heart failure for > 20 years.
I agree with Aj Prasit to add genotypic assay in all patients with Hb AEBart's CS/PS.
