This fascinating CPC case is an HIV-infected 44-year-old woman who presented with fever with chills, thyroidal pain & significant weight loss for 3 weeks. Chest/neck/abdominal CT & CXR showed 10-cm heterogeneous enhancing thyroidal mass with mixed cystic/solid content & internal septation, multiple lung masses at both lungs, gastrohepatic lymphadenopathy, & mild hepatosplenomegaly. FNA of thyroid gland : first & second times showing blody colloid material, third time yielding pus with neutrophils & Gram-negative bacilli.
